SUP (Stand-up Paddleboard) Yoga

Music by Moby, "Slow"
You need neither stand-up paddleboard nor yoga experience to enjoy this memorable class.  A great core workout, the ocean and the wind will ask even seasoned athletes to redefine their skills.  A great introduction to stand-up paddleboarding, by the end of class, you'll have done much more than just stand on a paddleboard.

TRX (Total Body Resistance Exercise) Yoga

Music by Motorcitysoul, "(Potelea) Mbali feat. Onejiru"
TRX is portable suspension training tool that uses your body weight as resistance.  Combined with yoga postures, TRX straps offer both strengthening and stretching variations that yoga poses alone cannot provide.  Besides yoga's benefits, with the addition of TRX's aerial feature, you may experience some new ideas about your workout as well remember how fun it can be just to swing in the air.

Mat Yoga

Music by Murcof, "Ultimatum"
An excellent addition to MMA training and for diversity in your yoga practice, Mat Yoga uses padded walls and floor for leverage to deepen your stretches and enhance your fitness.  No need to bring your yoga mat for this yoga somersault adventure.  Give yourself to the comfort of the mat as you move around the room doing strength, endurance, and flexibility exercises.

Outdoor Yoga

Music by Hideo Kobayashi, "Teardrops with Rasmus Faber"
One of the benefits of practicing yoga outdoors is the simple reconnection to the nature: the warmth of the sun, the sounds of the birds, the feel of the trade winds, the openness of the sky.  There is limitless space for you to physically fill and psychically take up.
Hear the ocean inspire your waves of breath as you go deeper into relaxation, exercise, and possibility.

Art Yoga

Music by J.S. Epperson, "Melt"

It's been Matt's privilege to have partnered with many talented media production people and yoga models over the years who have helped Matt realize some of his artistic visions about the art and architecture of yoga.  Here is an early example of Matt producing a yoga media project where he brought together still photos, video graphics, video editing, and original music.

GURU 2008 Yoga Calendar

Music by J.S. Epperson, "Frontier"
Matt produced the GURU 2008 Yoga Calendar from his frustration with the lack of males represented in yoga media. He self-funded the project to inspire his own practice.  Hawk Jones' revealing and graceful photography captures the strength and flexibility of men performing mind/body exercises.  Models include yoga instructors, personal trainers, weightlifters, and a Buddhist teacher.

Copies of this calendar are still available.  Go to the Mekosun Store.
